Our Programs

Community Gardens

Our very first garden site is located at 100 Glenvale Road, Toowoomba, on land generously offered by Toowoomba Community Baptist Church. We meet there every Tuesday from 9-11am (excluding public holidays and school holidays, please check our Facebook page for updates). All are welcome to come along, no prior gardening experience is required.

We partner with other organisations to provide community garden spaces which offer fresh produce to all people. Our first Community Garden offers basic vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers for individuals and families to pick freely during daylight hours every day of the week. We also harvest produce regularly to distribute through the onsite food pantry and to other charities in Toowoomba.

Cooking Classes

Throughout the year we offer cooking classes on different topics. Updates on upcoming classes will be posted on our Website and Facebook page.

Education Programs

Sharing information on how to eat well for the best health outcomes is part of our core business with the goal of preventing lifestyle-related chronic disease later on in life. We deliver short, engaging and fun education sessions to improve understanding and adoption of up-to-date recommendations. Options include:

  • Interactive learning in schools for students of all ages
  • Character book readings and food-based activities at community garden sites, playgroups, and early learning centres
  • Community group opportunities for nutrition education, service activities and gardening (our site or yours!)

Information flyers for some of our education sessions are attached here, we offer many more…please contact us to discuss your needs.
